Staci Thota graduated from Dakota State University in Madison, South Dakota (USA) with a Bachelor’s degree in English Education. She also earned a Master’s degree in English with an emphasis on TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) from the University of South Dakota. Throughout her career, she has tutored and taught native and nonnative English learners from elementary students to adults.

Ms. Thota has taught the following classes for the University of South Dakota or Colorado State University: Basic ESL (English as Second Language) Grammar, Advanced ESL Grammar, Basic ESL Writing, Intermediate ESL Writing, Basic ESL Reading, ESL Speaking and Listening, Introduction to English Literature, and Composition I.

Ms. Thota has taught the following high school classes: College Preparation British Literature, American Literature, English 9, Composition I, Composition II, Drama/Speech, Contemporary Novel, and Language Skills.

Most recently, Ms. Thota works as an English tutor and freelance English/Language Arts writer/editor for an educational publishing company. She also sometimes scores responses for the TOEFL. She lives in Colorado, USA.
